SYNOPSIS - The Circus Still Comes To Town is a one-act play about two sisters who have lost their parents.
Dolores is the older, resentful sibling caring for her sister, Rachel, a stuttering teen that falls in love with Joe, a circus roust-a-bout. The romance is soon blocked when Dolores tries to steal him from her.

HISTORY - THE CIRCUS STILL COMES TO TOWN was developed as Tom Cavanaugh's Thesis Project at The Actors Studio Drama School in New York City under the guidance of the great American Playwright, Romulus Linney. THE CIRCUS STILL COMES TO TOWN was produced by the Actors Studio Drama School and World Premiered at Circle in the Square Theatre in NYC in 2000. The play has been produced throughout the United States over the years.
